Highlights:
- By 2023, a new model may be introduced by Apple, coupled with a more portable laptop.
- A 15-inch MacBook Air and larger iPads are also in talks to be launched next year.
- Apple has also teased at introducing a new HomePod and robust M3 iMac.
According to sources familiar with the situation, Apple Inc. intends to increase the number of laptops it sells next year that are powered by its newly developed, more powerful in-house CPUs in an effort to seize a larger portion of the market.
A bigger MacBook Air with a 15-inch screen is currently being developed by the firm and is scheduled for delivery as soon as spring of next year. There is also the possibility that Apple may release its next integrated Apple TV, HomePod, and FaceTime camera product around the latter half of this year.

In June of 2022, Apple introduced the completely redesigned MacBook Air 2022, which was the first model in the series to get such treatment since the machine’s debut in 2008. Although Apple continued to sell an 11-inch MacBook Air model up until 2016, the company now only offers a 13-inch edition of its MacBook Air laptop.
Considering Apple’s MacBook Pro series includes laptops with screens of 13, 14, and 16 inches, a MacBook Air with a display dimension of 15-inches would be the sole laptop of that scale offered by Apple.
The year 2020 marked the beginning of the business’s separation from its longstanding partner Intel Corp., and the company started announcing its newest processor, the M2, at a conference for developers already this week. The Mac series, which contributes to around 10% of Apple’s sales, has seen a renaissance in recent years thanks to improvements in performance as well as fresh designs.

The most recent model of Apple’s desktop computers, the iMac, was introduced in 2021 and is equipped with an M1 chip. In contrast, the Mac Pro is the sole portion of Apple’s hardware that hasn’t been upgraded with Apple’s own silicone.
Apple has indeed started designing a brand-new 12-inch laptop, and the company is thinking about releasing it either towards the end of 2023 or at the beginning of 2024. If Apple goes ahead with the launch, it would be the company’s smallest notebook since the 12-inch MacBook was phased out in 2019.
Additionally, Apple is planning to deliver the latest high-end MacBook Pros with M2 Pro and M2 Max CPUs as quickly as the end of 2022, but the launch date might well be pushed out to the beginning of 2023.
